quilt has been sent off with Sam

..my ambitions were greater than my abilities, so, the quilt did not turn out exactly as invisioned, but, I like it anyway... try, try again... eventually want to make a landscape quilt..  I hope Sam doesn't have trouble quilting through some of my messy seams.. :)

ok, so , they are not in my hands just yet... but aren't they adorable?  My sis-in-law is becoming a pro with her embroidery machine!!! I love you Leslie!!

This is the rocket I am putting on the back of my son's quilt... I think it turned out ok... I still have to figure out which direction to sew it on.

We have about 2-1/2 inches or so, the last time I checked.... had to get all my drivers in off the roads and home early... couldn't take a chance of the temp dropping suddenly and all that slush turning to ice on us... I love the snow, but wish it had waited until our routes were done for the day..

Hope to finish my son's quilt this weekend... must contend with the animials plopping down on it every time i drag it out to work on it... :)  Have a peaceful, lovely weekend everyone..

don't laugh

...a side project...haha  My husband's bama fanatic's legs were torn, so I sewed him back together, then tried to make one.  This is my first attempt at doll making... It's not finished... and the cat walked across it as I was painting it, so modifications were and still are in order to cover up the smudged paint...

can't get motivated!

I can't get on with my sewing, lately... too many distractions.. 
More people at work have been laid off or fired... It means more hours for those of us left, and a little more work... thankful to still have a job.... hubby is still doing odds and ends, looking for a permanent job since the end of March... wow.. can it really have been that long ago?? 

..finally sewed a little

ok...it's been awhile, but finally made some sewing time this weekend... I am not sure if this will be the back of the GHS quilt, or if it will be another top... still need to put the "G" in the center of the green...

Can you say, "Happy Boy!"  He got a guitar with hard case & amp... I don't know what the difference in this one and his stratocaster is, but he seems to like it.. it is a sparkly red with mirrored alabama logo on it...
